SPAIN
 
Movistar+ unveils the first images of its second original series. Titled La Zona, the new production will premiere on the platform on Friday, October 27.
 
The pilot episode will also be screened at the 50th International Festival of Sitges.
 
INTERNATIONAL
 
Marcello Coltro to leave Cisneros Media Distribution. The executive has decided to step down as Executive Vice President of the company after three years in position, effective September 15, 2017.
 
Coltro was responsible for the consolidation of Cisneros' pay TV channels in Latin America.
 
BRAZIL
 
The Slave Mother was named "Best Telenovela of 2016". The Record TV drama won the top honor at the Seoul International Drama Awards, competing head to head with titles from Turkey, Colombia, Portugal and Russia.
 
The Slave Mother premiered in Brazil in 2016 to a 14.0 rating and 37% share.
 
MEXICO
 
Televisa puts a new spin on the lifestyle genre. The Mexican giant's new original reality show, Reto 21, will not focus on flashy weight loss, but rather a better way of life. It will premiere on September 10 on Las Estrellas.
 
Reto 21 will challenge eight people to change their eating habits for 21 days.
 
COLOMBIA
 
ABC's Brothers & Sisters reaches Colombia. Next Tuesday, September 12, Colombian network RCN is premiering Hermanos & Hermanas, a new fiction produced by Vista Productions, adapted from the hit ABC series.
 
In the US, the hit series premiered in September 2006 and stayed on the air until 2011.
