Adrián Santucho, who worked as EVP of Univision Studios, announced he is stepping down from his role at Univision Communications and the creation of 3CV, a new independent producer that will be presented to the international market at Mipcom 2018.
“Adrián Santucho, executive director of Univision Studios, is now longer a part of Univision Communications Inc,” the company confirmed to ttvnews. Santucho “announced the creation of his own production company, 3CV, and will share more details at Mipcom in October,” they added.
The new producer will develop multiplatform content including fiction, talk shows and realities for strategic partners, including the Univision network in the US.
With a vast track record in directing and producing content all over Latin America and the US Hispanic market, Santucho joined Univision Communications on November 1, 2016 as EVP of Univision Studios.
He previously worked as CEO of FremantleMedia Latin America, where he was responsible for production of several popular series with Hispanic audiences, including La banda, Sí se puede, 100 Latinos dijeron and Mexico’s Got Talent.
Before joining FremantleMedia in 2013, Santucho worked for more than a decade at Endemol, where he held various high production and development positions at Endemol USA Latino, Endemol Mexico and Endemol Argentina, and produced popular and successful series, such as Mira quien baila, as well as A todo o nada (Deal or no Deal) in Argentina, Mexico and the US; and Resbalón (Wipeout) for Televisa in Mexico.
The executive’s departure joins the recent departures of Isaac Lee from his role as Executive Director of Content and Lourdes Díaz as president of Entertainment at Univision Communications.
