In addition to expanding its global marketing strategy, the distribution arm of CCTV will continue to promote new co-production deals as part of the 15th China International Film & TV Program Exhibition taking place in Beijing on May 17-19.

CITVC, the distribution arm of CCTV is gearing up for exciting things. In addition to expanding its global marketing strategy with the hiring of media agencies MJ Global Communications and Pink Orchid International, the Chinese company is preparing to promote new co-production deals and the 15th China International Film & TV Program Exhibition.

Thus, following the Mipcom 2017 announcement of CCTV’s international doc co-production deal in the US with +E Networks for The Silk Road – Reborn, CITVC will continue to promote its initiatives with announcements of new co-production deals, program launches, and events that will take center stage at the 15th China International Film & TV  Program Exhibition.

Coming as the company's own proprietary trade market, the Film & TV Program Exhibition is taking place in Beijing on May 17-19 this year.

Acting together on behalf of both media agencies, Panayiota Pagoulatos, MD of POi and MJ Sorenson, CEO of MGC are working together to help promote the Chinese mega broadcaster/production entity for 2018.

"CCTV has several fantastic productions in development along with many great programs in our catalog that we want to promote, as well as upcoming co-production deals and events," said Jianing Shen, GM of China Radio, Film & Television Programs Exchanging Center (CHNPEC) & Executive Vice President of China International Television Corporation (CITVC).

"MJ and Panayiota have stellar reputations in the industry and we're confident that we will work in harmony to communicate the CCTV story within the international content community," added the executive.

Sorenson and Pagoulatos were long-time sales and marketing colleagues at Reed Midem before they began their private companies. Sorenson's career also includes executive marketing and communication roles at MTV Networks and the International Emmy Awards, launching MGC in 2011. Pagoulatos started POi in 2017 and has extensive marketing, sales and production experience.
