Conecta Fiction, the most important professional networking platform for the creation of TV fiction content between Europe and America, begins its countdown and completes its agenda with multiple activities and international players.
The event will take place in Pamplona-Iruña (Navarra, Spain), from June 17th to 20th in the Baluarte Congress Center.
A final programme
Conecta Fiction confirms the presence of international players such as Fernando García Calvo, Europe Video Business Director of HUAWEI, which has recently launched its video service in Spain and Italy, undoubtedly leading these markets with their smartphones.
In his Keynote “The smartphone: a new (re)evolution of the audiovisual consumption”, he will talk about the new trends in content and consumption in the industry. He will highlight the role that companies such as Huawei already play so the creators and producers can reach global audiences through the mobile.
The Keynote will be hosted by the Portuguese TV host and journalist José Machado.
In addition, Gina Marcheschi, Head of Scripted, Vice Studios (United States) will also attend Conecta Fiction to offer a Keynote. VICE Studios is the global production branch of films and TV content of VICE Media, which is currently developing, producing, financing and distributing multiplatform content for audiences around the world.
Based in the USA, UK, EMEA, Latin America and Canada, VICE Studios is internationally known by their high-quality series, factual content and entertainment formats.
Viacom International Studios will also join the Conecta Fiction programme, offering a panel: “A culture of content”.
Darío Turovelzky, SVP Global Contents, will discuss the transition from Network to Studio. He will also talk about the importance of the Latin America-Europe connection in content development, the possibilities that this connection offers and the new remake tendency of turning classic films into TV series. Dario Turovelsky will also present in first-hand all the latest news from Viacom International Studios.
Ibermedia, a new approach to TV content
The Ibermedia Program is the co-production film fund sponsored by Spain, Portugal, Italy and thirteen member countries in Latin America. This entity will hold a working session with the representatives of the main TV production companies attending Conecta Fiction. Their main goal is to work in the creation of a new funding model specific for the development of TV projects.

Daniela Vega in Conecta Fiction
The acclaimed protagonist of A Fantastic Woman (Chile), the winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film 2017, will honor us with her presence coming from Italy where she is currently shooting.
She will join the Chilean delegation during the Conecta Fiction Opening Ceremony -Conecta Fiction celebrates Chile and Italy as Focus Countries for its third edition-. Daniela Vega, chosen by the Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential characters in the world in 2018, is preparing a documentary on female leaders.
Conecta Fiction is the first international event exclusively dedicated to the networking and co-production of TV fiction series between America and Europe. Pamplona-Iruña (Spain) will host the third edition from June 17-20, 2019.
