Disney XD Latin America announced the start of production for a new season of O11CE, the original football series that follows the life of Gabo throughout his road to make his big dream of becoming a professional football star come true.
"We are very excited to continue the production of this original series that gives us so much pride and has been so significant for international audiences. O11CE is a unique TV product, which in many aspects was a pioneer," said Diego Lerner, president of The Walt Disney Company Latin America.
"This announcement reinforces our commitment to continue producing quality and relevant content that was born in Latin America but travels around the world," he added.
The new season will find Gabo, Ricky and Dedé studying their last year in the IAD and playing in the Golden Hawks with a new group of players. Together they must face the most demanding sporting challenge of all: playing the World Cup.
"Once again, we are back with a talented international cast and a powerful story that has already demonstrated its power to connect with the global audience. The story of Gabo and the Golden Hawks has great appeal for the region, and at the same time it moves the whole world with its universal message of self-improvement, friendship and dreams fulfilled," said Cecilia Mendonça, vice president and general manager of Disney Channels Latin America.
O11CE’s multicultural cast is led by Argentine stars Mariano González, Paulina Vetrano, Nicolás Pauls and Santiago Stieben (Disney Planet, Highway: Rodando la aventura, Jungle Nest, Soy Luna), Guido Pennelli (Violetta, Peter Punk), Candelaria Grau, Javier Eloy Bonnano, Juan Francisco Cabrera and Lucas Minuzzi; Mexico’s Sebastián Athié and Juan David Penagos, and Brazil’s Luan Brum.
New additions include Argentine actors Dany Martins (Zapping Zone, The U-Mix Show, Pijama Party), Joaquín Ochoa, Tomy Díaz and Julia Tozzi; Spanish actress Paula Cancio and Italy’s Bianca Zero.
The new season will also see the return of Santiago Luna and Juan Bautista Herrera, both from Argentina.
The cast is completed by Gaby Del Castillo (Spain), Yarnaldo Rey Morales (Venezuela) and Argentina’s Ariadna Asturzzi, Bautista Rivarola, Brian Haupt, Camila Rabinovich, Diego Esteban De Paula, Federico Bellu, Franco Ceres, Giuliano Montepaone, Ian Lucas, Juan Esteban Faiszman, Karim Hendi, Nicolás Cucaro, Luciana Jersonsky, Marcos Cartoy Díaz, Matías Tamborelli, Nicolás Dino Lorenzón, Valeria San Martín and Violeta Kaehler.
O11CE premiered in Latin America and Europe in March of 2017 and immediately won the Disney XD audience thanks to its talented international cast. In addition, the series is currently broadcast in more than 20 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia, including Russia, where it premiered in the framework of the 2018 World Cup. In Latin America, O11CE can also be enjoyed by Amazon Prime Video in Spanish and Portuguese .
