The second season of Once (O11CE), Disney Channels Latin America's latest original production, is already in the works. The decision was announced following the series' success, a few short weeks after its premiere.
Once made its debut on March 13 on Disney XD Latinoamérica, and on Disney Channel in Brazil. It rose to the number one spot in Mexico, Colombia and Peru, and registered audience increases in every country -which in some cases reached 300%- from the previous week.
"Once's incredible results on Disney XD, both in the network and the digital platforms, makes us proud and motivates us to continue creating attractive and innovative stories; and it does nothing more than reinforce our conviction that we are on the right path," said Cecilia Mendonça, VP and General Manager of Disney Channels Latin America.
In addition, the executive explained the new season, which is already in production by Pegsa Group, "will continue to offer more relevant, quality content through a narrative that captures the audience's interest, by delving into themes like sports, family and friendship with a big technological component."
Once's success was replicated on digital platforms: on the Disney XD Latinonamérica YouTube channel, the trailer registered over 2.4 million views and positioned itself in the number 1 spot as the channel's most-viewed video of the month.
In addition, the game "O11CE El Desafío" ranked as number 1 in the website's games list, with over 184,000 games started since the day of the series' launch. In addition, the video "O11CE, hay passion en el equipo" ranked as #3 on the Disney Latin America site.
In addition, the day of its premiere, #O11CE was a trending topic on Twitter in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Paraguay, reaching over 17.5 million impressions, a number that now rises to 110 million if considering the time between December 2016 until the series' premiere.

Ratings in Latin America
According to Ibope, in Mexico on the day of its premiere, Once ranked first among all cable networks in its timeslot, in the kids 4 to 11 demo. In addition, the series' ratings grew 29% among kids 4 to 11 from the previous Monday.
In Colombia, the series ranked #1 in cable during its timeslot, among kids 4 to 11 on the day of its premiere. In addition, it grew 300% in the demo from the previous Monday. During the first week, it remained the leader in the demo, with significant audience increases.
In Pery, Once ranked number 1 among all cable channels in its timeslot, in the boys 4 to 11 demo. In its first week on air, it ranked #2 in the segment.
In Argentina, the series ranked third on the day of its premiere among all cable networks in its timeslot, among kids 4 to 11. In addition, it ranked 3# among all kids' networks for boys 4 to 11. The series also registered a 182% audience increase in the demo from the previous Monday.
In Chile, the network showed a 200% increase from the previous week among girls 4 to 11.
In Brazil, where the series airs mainly on Disney Channel, on the day of its premiere the network registered important audience increases among boys 4 to 11 and 7 to 12, and during the first week of broadcasts it registered a 157% increase among boys 7 to 12.
Once airs Mondays through Fridays at 7:00pm on Disney XD Latinoamérica and Disney Channel Brazil.
