After 20 months on air, TVN's first bet on a Turkish drama has reached major success with this important milestone. In addition, the series distributed by Eccho Rights continues to draw in a solid viewership.

After 20 months on air on TVN, Elif has become the longest-running Turkish drama to ever air on Chile.

Thus, the story of the abandoned little girl came on top of other Turkish dramas like Mega's Karadayi and El Trece's Magnificent Century, which have aired for 17 months in Chile.

In addition, Elife has also bested other long-running foreign shows in Chile like Ugly Betty (14 months), or even Chilean production Forgive us our Sins, which is currently on its 17th month on Mega.

However, the biggest highlight for Elif - which is TVN's first Turkish series - is that it was managed to draw in a solid viewership throughout its time on TV. Since its premiere on the broadcast network (November 24), the shows has been the second most watched series with an average rating of 6.6 points.

Produced by Green Yapim and distributed by Eccho Rights, the Turkish drama is also one of the longest running dramas in Turkey with four seasons on Kanal 7 and more than 700 episodes aired between September of 2014 and June of 2018.
This success has earned it a season five renewal, which will air on 2019.

Elif has an extensive international footprint since it first aired in Indonesia back in 2015. Following that sale it traveled to Latin America, where it was sold in Colombia (Caracol), Peru (Latina), Costa Rica (Teletica), Argentina (Telefe), Mexico (Imagen Televisión), Paraguay (Telefuturo) and Puerto Rico (Telemundo Puerto Rico), among others.

The show follows the story of Elif, a young abandoned girl who is secretly taken by her mother at age seven to a house owned by the Emiroglu family to grow up as a maid. Although no one knows, Elif is the daughter of Kenan, the family's eldest son.
