In her new role, the exec is responsible for the global rollout and commercialization of TV formats and digital concepts. Dingler will succeed Maarten Meijs after the latter was recently appointed COO.

This Friday, Feb. 8, Talpa Media has announced the appointment of Kim Dingler as Managing Director of Talpa Global, thus succeeding Maarten Meijs, who has been appointed COO by the company.

In her new role, Dingler is responsible for the global rollout and commercialization of (TV) formats and digital concepts, being in charge of the daily operations of Talpa Global.

"Kim has played an extremely important role in determining the strategic agenda of Talpa,” said Meijs. “I am convinced that she is the right person to further roll out Talpa's philosophy across the globe. "

Kim Dingler joined Talpa Global in 2014 as Director of Marketing & Strategy. In this position she was responsible for the digital, brand licensing and new business departments as well as for marketing and strategy.

In the past Dingler worked in media, marketing and advertising at, among others, Aegis, BBDO and Heineken.

Success in content

Along with Dingler’s appointment, the company has revealed that its new drama series The Apple of my Eye (Oogappels) has proven a success on Dutch network BNNVARA, securing stronger ratings each week.

In fact, the show’s 3rd episode scored a +17.6% total market share, making it #1 in its time slot.

The series follows four neighboring families with opposite methods of parenting their teenage children. Despite their social and cultural differences, the families are connected and often face common problems like social media, peer pressure, drugs and sex.
