Telefonica confirmed that's to announce the start and upcoming details of its deal with Netflix on Monday, December 10.
Announced for the first time in May of this year, the deal between Netflix and Telefonica will finally come to be during next week, according to a release from the Spanish company.
As of now, there are no further details on how Movistar Spain will integrate Netflix as part of its offering, but the local press has already released some information.
According to Hipertextual, Netflix will be a part of two new bundles called Fusión Selección X2 and Fusión Selección X4, which will start at 96 euros each.
The official information, however, will come on Monday, December 10, during a press release.
Thanks to this deal, Spain is joining Peru, where the partnership between the two has been in motion since November of this year.
The partnership is expected to also cover other territories where Telefonica currently operates in the near future.
"This deal represents a major step forward in Telefónica's commitment to innovate and collaborate with leading companies around the world," said José María Álvarez-Pallete, Telefonica's Chief Executive, when announcing the partnership.
"We want to offer our clients the most complete content offer possible, whether its original shows from Telefonica or third party productions. This deal with Netflix will help reinforce this objective in all of our multi-channel platforms," she added.
"Millions of customers will enjoy this deal in the coming years, customers who can easily access their favorite Netflix shows and movies through Telefónica's platforms," said Reed Hastings, Co-Founder and CEO of Netflix.
"The possibility of accessing Netflix content through the different Telefónica video and television channels will allow users to enjoy all their favorite content in one place," he added.
