Record TV continues with its lineup of Biblical productions that have proven successful both locally and internationally, mainly in the Latin American and US Hispanic markets.
After hits like The Miracles of Jesus, Moses and the Ten Commandments, and The Rich and Lazarus; in late August Record TV will start filming for its new Biblical telenovela, Apocalypse, based on the Book of Revelation.
Record TV confirmed to ttvnews that the new title's premiere is scheduled for November, to replace The Rich and Lazarus.
The new production, which will have between 150 and 170 episodes, will be directed by Edson Spinello, with scripts written by Vivián de Olvieria, the same author responsible for the internationally successful Moses and the Ten Commandments.
The company is currently wrapping up the pre-production stage, deciding the final details and completing the cast, which features Sergio Marone and Guilherme Winter.
Record TV Tries New Super Production Formulas
In addition, Record TV is preparing the launch of a new fiction production in July called Belaventura, a period piece that yet doesn't follow down the same path as its Biblical titles.
Belaventura is set in medieval times and is inspired by the HBO series, Game of Thrones.
The cast features Camila Rodrigues and Gisele Itié, who also starred in Moses and the Ten Commandments.
