Same as in most countries in Latin America, Netflix’s series lead the ranking of the most demanded digital series in Paraguay, taking up seven of the ten spots in the Top 10 list generated by Parrot Analytics for the week of October 1-7.
However, this list stands out among the rest due to the popularity of Spanish and LatAm series, with two of Netflix’s Spanish originals on the list, starting with Cable Girls in fourth place with 38,373 Average Demand Expressions (ADE) and Money Heist in eighth with 26,332 ADE.
Other Hispanic titles from the streaming giant also made the list, with Narcos in third place (43,095 ADE), The House of Flowers in seventh with 31,433 ADE and Luis Miguel, the series in tenth (21,659 ADE).
Despite taking over most of the spots in the Top 10, the list is not led by Netflix, which made its way to second place with Stranger Things (47,527 ADE); while the first place is taken by the YouTube Premium original Cobra Kai with 57,845 ADE.
The Top 10 digital series in Paraguay is completed by animated series Dino Dan (Amazon Prime Video) in sixth place with 34,311 ADE; Talking Tom and Friends by YouTube with 33,428 ADE and Netflix’s Sense8 in eighth place with 25,215 ADE.
The general ranking, meanwhile, is dominated by animated series, which take up the first seven spots on the list.
The Top 3 is made up by Naruto: Shippuden in first place (325,515 ADE), followed by Dragon Ball Super (259,865 ADE) and Dragon Ball Z (247,892 ADE). Preschool animations Peppa Pig and PAW Patrol stand in fourth and fifth place, respectively, with 235,223 ADE and 235,189 ADE.
Naruto in sixth place and The Simpsons in seventh complete the animated series on the list, followed by the Talpa Media format, The Voice, in eighth.
The final two spots on the ranking feature the only Latin productions on the list, with the format My Name Is in ninth place (182,351 ADE) and La rosa de Guadalupe in tenth (177,696 ADE).
