Renowned Argentine producer Gustavo Yankelevich and his company RGB Entertainment have announced the diva has entrusted them with the rights to her life story in order to produce an international TV show.

The trend is alive and well: the biopic boom has landed in Latin America to stay, with 22% of new biopics around the world hailing from the region, according to The Wit. And now, we have news on another project joining the ranks.

This time, it was Argentine producer Gustavo Yankelevich who announced, on a press release signed by his company RGB Entertainment, he'll be the one taking the story of Susana Giménez to the worldwide stage.

"I have the honor of having been chosen by Susana to carry out this wonderful project," says Yankelevich, a personal friend of the Argentine actress and presenter, who has also produced her show for several years.

According to him, the series will focus on the personal and professional life of the Argentine diva: "the most important instances of her life, from her teenage years to the beginning of her career and her life now."

"Susana's life story deserves to be told," concluded Yankelevich.

Although he didn't reveal any networks linked to the project, he spoke about sharing the story "with a huge audience", and specified that the rights acquired are international.

Other than that, there are no more details about the show, or about the artistic team involved in the production.

It should be remembered that Susana Giménez has played a leading role as a character in the latest Argentine biographical series Sandro de América, where she was played by China Suárez; she will soon feature as a character in Monzón, a new production from Disney Latin America and Pampa Films, where Celeste Cid will step into her shoes.

With a career that spans over 40 years, Susana Giménez is one of the most popular icons of Argentina. Her career as an actress includes 34 films and 14 plays, and since 1987 she has been hosting her own television program, one of the bastions of Argentine broadcast TV.
