Turner Latin America announced that Marcela Doria is joining the company as the new VP of Data and Analytics. The executive comes to the company from Twitter Latin America, where she worked as Head of Ad Sales and Media Research.
In her new role, the executive will report to Whit Richardson, President of Turner Latin America, and will initially work on the company’s offices in San Pablo, with plans to relocate to Latin America in the near future.
Under Doria’s leadership, Turner Latin America will accelerate its evolution towards a data-based culture, which will bring valuable knowledge to feed the diverse aspects of the company’s operations.
“It’s difficult to exaggerate the importance of Data & Analytics in our effort to become a next generation media provider for fans,” mentioned Richardson about the executive’s appointment.
“I trust that Marcela is the right person to lead the implementation of a broad Data & Analytics function that will form the basis of critical decisions regarding content, monetization, marketing and innovation," added the president of Turner Latin America.
Marcela Doria has more than fifteen years of experience in consumer intelligence, and has held positions both regionally and specifically for Brazil.
As head of research for Twitter Latin America during the last three and a half years, Marcela was in charge of the strategic use of Twitter’s knowledge in order to increase the company’s income and support the work in association with the media.
Back then she worked directly with advertisers to create targeted communication plans, providing actionable insights based on the analysis of consumer behavior on Twitter.
Recognized as an expert in her field, Marcela usually performs as a speaker and writer on consumer behavior in digital, her work includes multiple articles published in Meio & Mensagem, Brazil’s main specialized publication in this topic.
Prior to joining Twitter, he held senior positions in business intelligence and research at ESPN Brazil, Discovery Communications Brazil and Discovery Communications LatAm / U.S. Hispanic. His career began working in Multifocus Inteligência de Mercado (market research institute).
