The 10 titles have been chosen for the 2019 edition of MIPDrama Buyers Summit (ahead of the MIPDrama Screenings), the exclusive event that takes place prior to Miptv, offering buyers from around the world the chance to discover the most attractive series from the international market.
And among the titles chosen are two Spanish series, both by Mediaset Spain: Brigada Costa del Sol, coproduced with Warner Bros. ITVP España and Netflix; and Señoras del (h)AMPA, coproduced with Producciones Mandarina.
Brigada Costa del Sol is a crime series set in 1977 when a group of police inspectors was assigned to Torremolinos to form the Special Group of Narcotics Costa del Sol and fight against drug trafficking, at a time when little was known about these crimes.
Meanwhile, Señoras del (h)AMPA is a dark comedy starring four hard-working and struggling women who accidentally get involved in a murder that will introduce them into a delirious spiral of criminal acts to try to preserve their secret.
Both series are part of Mediaset Spain’s fiction catalog set to premiere on Telecinco, along with El pueblo, Lejos de ti, Madres, Caronte, Desaparecidos and the 11th and 12th seasons of La que se avecina.
Most of these series are also part of Mediterraneo, the new production and distribution brand at Mediaset Spain, which will debut at Miptv.
