Crackle Lands in Colombia with EBT

Sony Pictures Television Netroworks Latin America has announced that it is rolling-out its SVOD service this Thursday on Colombia. The platform is coming to the country for the first time as part of the pay-tv offering from the Bogotá Telecommunications Company.

Starting this Thursday, Sony Pictures Television Netroworks Latin America's SVOD service Crackle is rolling-out in Colombia for the first time ever as part of the pay-tv offering from the Bogotá Telecommunications Company (EBT for its acronym in Spanish).

"This new agreement allows us to take Crackle to Colombia for the first time ever and provide ETB subscribers with a new entertainment option with the most advanced technology to enjoy their favorite series and movies at the time, place and device of their choosing," mentioned Nathascha Rengifo, VP and General Manager at Sony Pictures Television Networks in the OLA region.

The service will have a monthly fee of $11.400 Colombian pesos - VAT included - some US$ 3.81 and a one-month free trial. New or old ETB users will be able to download the app on different devices connected to the internet and use two of them simultaneously.

"Crackle gives our subscribers access to new entertainment possibilities, which adapt to the changing forms of consumption that today's audiences demand and that is why ETB is constantly expanding its content offering for them," added Christian Grosjean, VP of Strategy and Marketing for ETB.

The content can be enjoyed in high definition, with connections above 3MG, in its original language and dubbed into Spanish. Users will also be able to access the content in iOS, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast and on TCL and Sony (HTML5) Smart TVs as well as on www.crackle.com.

In this way, Crackle its offering unlimited access to its content, without commercial interruptions. The series include original productions such as Preacher, StartUp, Snatch: The Series, The Art of Ambition, SuperMansion and Powers, as well as complete seasons of Criminal Minds, Scorpion and Code Black; alongside a wide variety of films from major Hollywood studios.

With its arrival in Colombia, Crackle continues to add new markets. The service is already available in Mexico on Dish, TotalPlay and Axtel Play; in Honduras with Tigo, in Brazil with Oi, in Ecuador with TV Cable, in Argentina with Gigared, in Uruguay with TCC and in Guatemala and Costa Rica with Tigo.
