"It has been an amazing year for our Endemol Shine Boomdog team. It's a great moment for our scripted and unscripted programming team and we arrived at the LA Screenings with successful high-quality series from both the Mexican and US Hispanic markets," said Alejandro Rincón, CEO of Endemol Shine Boomdog.
As for scripted content, the highlight goes for Nicky Jam: El ganador, which will air on Telemundo and Netflix; together with season two of successful drama series El Vato, which recently debuted on Universo and Netflix; as well as drama series To Selena With Love, based on the successful book by Chris Pérez, the husband of the late Latin music superstar.
In addition, Endemol Shine Boomdog is developing El Clan, a fiction series based on María Raquenel Portillo's autobiography and Súbete a Mi Moto: The History of Menudo, a drama coproduced alongside Somos Productions and Piñolywood Studios.
Endemol Shine Boomdog officially opened its doors in in January, uniting the Endemol Shine's US Hispanic and Mexican production and development teams with production company Boomdog, based in Mexico City.
The new studio born of the union between the companies has offices and production units both in Mexico City and Miami. It focuses on the development and production of original content for the Mexican and US Hispanic markets.
To be the link between the main players in the entertainment industry is not an easy task. It means creating a platform aimed at a group of highly informed and demanding professionals. But with great effort and commitment, we did it.
