Tuesday's premiere of Heroes Wanted on Spanish network Antena 3 was the best premiere for a fiction series in Spain since 2015.

With a screen share of 24.6% and a total of 4,193,000 viewers, the Tuesday premiere of Heroes Wanted on Spanish network Antena 3 managed to obtain several records for Atresmedia, which also simultaneously broadcasts the series on its international channel Atreseries.

With those numbers, Heroes Wanted was the most watched show of the day in Spain, coming on top of El Accidente (Telecinco), which had been the undisputed leader on Tuesdays.

In addition, the show was also the best premiere of the season for a fiction series and the best fiction premiere in Spain for the last three years.

In fact, there had been no numbers to match since the premiere of Vis a Vis back in 2015. Back then, the drama gathered 4.3 million viewers in front of the screen.

Compared with data from the rest of the season, Heroes Wanted is comfortably above other fiction series: El Accidente (3.2 million), Times of War (2.7 million), Ella es tu Padre (2.4 million), I Am Alive (2.4 million), Betrayal (2.2 million), Apaches (2.2 million) and El Incidente (2.1 million).

Heroes Wanted focuses on the day-to-day life of a secret special ops group formed by members of different police groups who protect the country without anyone knowing they exist.

Given the enormous success of this singular elite force, the Home Office decides to expand the project and create a new unit. A green beret, a mossa, a Jesuit ertzaintza, a tedax and a thief posing as a national policeman must put aside their differences and solve impossible missions together.

The show is based on the movie of the same name, which premiered on 2016.

Heroes Wanted stars Cristina Castaño, Canco Rodríguez, Joaquín Reyes, Ana Morgade, Antonio Garrido, and el Langui, amongst others.
