In addition to the already announced entertainment options, Imagina International Sales is landing on Cannes with important fiction titles: the new series of Down Below, hit series I'm Alive and the much anticipated return of Vis a Vis.
Once again, Spanish distribution company Imagina International Sales is landing on Cannes to present its programming news at Mipcom.
In addition to four new entertainment formats, which were announced recently, the company is turning up the heat with the presentation of three talked about fiction series. With them, Imagina hopes to pique the interest of the International Market.
One of the highlights is I'm Alive, produced by Globomedia (a Grupo Imagina production company) and currently on-air in Spain on RTVE's La 1, where it has become the leading shoew on primetime on every broadcast.
Additionally, the company is presenting the new season of Down Below, a coproduction between Atresmedia and Plano a Plano.
Season three ended its run on July on Antena 3 as the undisputed leader on its timeslot: it debuted to 4 million viewers and averaged 3 million overall. Thus, it became the most watched fictional series of the season. The fourth season aims to follow on its footsteps.
Other major news from the company is the third season of Vis a Vis which, after two successful seasons on Antena 3 -averaging 3 million viewers and 17% share-, is coming back thanks to Globomedia and Fox Spain.
Vis a Vis has been one of the most talked-about Spanish fiction series in the last few years, earning several awards and the hearts of critics. The show also traveled internationally to several territories.
In fact, the series was the first Spanish series to air on UK's broadcast-TV on Channel 4; it also landed in the US as the first Spanish fiction to ever make it on Amazon Prime's catalogue; and is available in more than 65 countries and five continents thanks to deals closed by Imagina International Sales and Atresmedia International Sales, which distributes the show internationally.
Lastly, the company has also announced The Manor House for Mipcom; a period piece set in the 20's and produced by Dramedy (Czech Republic). Its broadcast in Česká tv, leading network in the Czech Republic, has been more than successful.
The series tells the story of the Valenta, a family that tries to solve its economic issues by marrying its eldest son with the daughter of a controversial businessman.
Imagina International Sales represents more than 50 production companies, some of which are a part of Imagina Group (Globomedia and Mediapro), as well as independent production companies that have trusted it with the sale of its productions.
In addition, the distribution company also collaborates with several European fiction producers with the idea to find financing partners for their European and international co-production projects.
To be the link between the main players in the entertainment industry is not an easy task. It means creating a platform aimed at a group of highly informed and demanding professionals. But with great effort and commitment, we did it.
