Argentina's National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts launched this week the "Contest for International Co-Production 2018", which seeks to motivate foreign networks, platforms and screens to co-produce in Argentina.

Argentina's National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA for its acronym in Spanish), announced on Monday a series of contests to support audiovisual production in the country.

Among them, the highlight goes to the "Contest for International Co-Production 2018", which calls on Argentine producers to "associate with networks, platforms and foreign screens for the international production and broadcast of series."

The contest has an annual fund of 60 million Argentine pesos (2.4 million dollars) and each winner will receive as a reward up to 50% of the amount to be spent in Argentina.

At the same time, the institute explained, 30% of the total amount of the investment in Argentine soil should be destined for the hiring and paying of technical and artistic teams resident in the country.

In addition, the project must contemplate a minimum investment of six million pesos (240,000 dollars) to be executed in the country.

The call to submit projects will be open until October 31, 2018.

"This call aims to increase the competitiveness of national audiovisual productions and grants a special incentive for those productions that take place outside the Central Metropolitan Region", was highlighted by INCAA.

To be the link between the main players in the entertainment industry is not an easy task. It means creating a platform aimed at a group of highly informed and demanding professionals. But with great effort and commitment, we did it.
