Alejandro Rojas has joined the company as Regional Director for Latin America as part of the company's efforts to start an expansion process in order to meet increased market interest for its global, cross-platform content demand.

Parrot Analytics has kick-started its expansion efforts with the appointment Alejandro Rojas, who is now joining the company as Regional Director for Latin America and will work from New York for the region, reporting to Parrot Analytics CEO Wared Seger.

In this role, the executive will be responsible for engaging with and selling Parrot Analytics’ products and services to new clients across Latin America, as well as helping with customer success initiatives for existing clients.

His appointment is the first in a series of expansion efforts that include appointing key regional directors around the world.

"There’s a growing need in the television industry for data-driven tools and information to help gauge daily audience demand for content, across all platforms and channels" said Seger.

"To address this need, as well as service our existing clients, we are expanding our international sales and customer success teams. Alejandro is an exceptional addition to our team. His impressive academic background is matched only by his unique combination of industry expertise, content production, data science and consulting."

Rojas, a former McKinsey consultant, has more than 10 years of experience in the content industry. He was executive producer on multiple television series that aired nationally in his native Venezuela.

Prior to Parrot Analytics, Rojas was at The Data Incubator, where he developed a machine learning application to predict returns on highly correlated financial assets. Previously, he co-founded TrixandTrax, an online video start-up with operations in Chile and Venezuela, backed by Wayra (Telefonica’s accelerator) and Start-Up Chile.

New to Parrot Analytics, Rojas is already responsible for spearheading a subscription deal with Brazil’s Globo Communicacão e Patricipacões S.A. (TV Globo). Announced in April, Globo, one of one of the biggest communications companies in the world, is now utilizing Parrot’s Audience Demand Measurement System to track demand for its TV content across its five broadcast channels and 188 affiliates.

To be the link between the main players in the entertainment industry is not an easy task. It means creating a platform aimed at a group of highly informed and demanding professionals. But with great effort and commitment, we did it.
