After being sold in Panama, Honduras, Bolivia and Ecuador, Colombian teen series Francisco el matemático, clase 2017 lands on another territory: Guatevision is set to premiere the show on July 31.

Francisco el matemático: clase 2017, RCN's teen series focusing on issues being faced by new generations, is landing in Guatemala this upcoming July 31.

Local network Guatevisión will premiere the Colombian production at 4pm as part of its youth programing block. The show will air under the working title Clase 2017, la nueva generación.

One of the main series on RCN Television's international catalogue, Francisco el matemático: clase 2017 has already aired in Panama and sold in countries like Honduras, Bolivia and Ecuador.

The series is a reboot of Francisco el matematico, a successful series broadcasted by RCN from 1999 until 2004. This new version is directed by Herney Luna and Consuelo González, and takes a look at issues happening on schools today: social media addiction, loves, physical changes, alcoholism, anorexia and bullying, amongst others.

It does this through the eyes of Francisco Quintana (Carlos Torres), a math teacher who arrives to the Jimmy Carter School in the hopes of shaping future leaders. But in addition to being a good teacher, he will have to witness the tough situations being faced by today's teens.

Starring Carlos Torres as Francisco, Francisco el matemático, clase 2017 has a stellar cast that includes Margarita Reyes, Mauricio Figueroa, María Irene Toro, Danielle Arciniegas, Juan David Galindo, María José Vargas, and Dylan Fuentes, with the special appearance of singer Mike Bahía and guest staring famed Colombian youtubers Mario Ruiz and Luisa Fernanda W.
