The first episode of the new FX series Run Coyote Run places the network at the top of pay-tv charts in Mexico, even above broadcast-TV networks.

This Friday FX announced that the premiere of its first Latin American original series, Run Coyote Run became the leading show in Mexico’s pay-tv, even going as far as placing the network above broadcast-TV networks.

Produced by FOX Networks Group (FNG) Latin America for FX Latin America, the premiere of Run Coyote Run reached 1.13 rating points in adults 18-49, well above competing networks on the same timeslot.

“Facing audiences that are growing more demanding, the way Run Coyote Run was received amongst viewers went beyond out expectations. Its excellent performance in ratings shows that audiences trust our ability to surprise them. As referents in entertainment, that gives us confidence to continue to take on new risks and challenges,” mentioned Gonzalo Fiure, SVP & Chief Content Officer at FOX Networks Group Latin America.

“It’s gratifying to see the support for the show in Mexico and Latin America, we’re very happy. Run Coyote Run is a show that captivated us from the start because of its topic and its original approach, so much so that we were sure about giving it a first season well before broadcasting the pilot. It reflects FGN Latin America’s commitment with original productions in the region and with the development of unique stories that captivate us all,” claimed Mariana Pérez, SVP of Production and Development at FOX Networks Group Latin America.

Run Coyote Run will air on Mondays on FX at 10pm in Mexico and at 12am in Argentina and Chile.

The show stars Harold Torres (Crónica de Castas) and Dutch actor Eivaut Rischen (Simplemente María).

It also has a stellar cast that includes stars like Mexico’s Maya Zapata (Soy Tu Fan), Macarena Miguel (Violetta), Noé Hernández (Miss Bala), Ignacio Guadalupe (Los tres entierros de Melquiades Estrada), Norma Angélica (¿Qué Culpa Tiene el Niño?).
