Vodka, a Spanish producer for kids content and entertainment brands, has signed a deal with Ánima Studios to co-produce its new multi-platform series Bugsted.

Created in 2002, Ánima Estudios has become the most important Latin American animation studios. Its series El Chavo stands among the most successful in the region, and its feature film Don Gato y su Pandilla broke all box office records and travelled to 25 countries.

Last year, Televisa announced it was joining the project as co-producer and licensing agent in Mexico.

Aimed at kids 8 to 11, Bugsted comes as a TV miniseries, an app for iPhone, iPad and Android, as well as collectable toys. Its launch is expected for the last quarter of 2013.

Vodka is also in negotiations with different channels in Europe and the US, and continues on its way to international consolidation.
