The appointment was made by new Chief Distribution Officer, Sally Habbershaw, who also nnamed Glen Hansen SVP of Distribution for APAC.

Sally Habbershaw, recently appointed Chief Distribution Officer will lead Mediawan’s international distribution activities and be responsible for the group’s global content sales and acquisitions strategy. Habbershaw’s appointment marks a pivotal milestone in the company’s ambitions and international expansion.

Mediawan’s core strategic ambition is to expand a leading English-language content pipeline and forge impactful global partnerships. To champion this strategy, Habbershaw will be supported by Mediawan’s distribution teams based in France and Germany, in addition to the appointment of two senior executives: Dan Selig, as Senior Vice President Distribution, Americas, and Glen Hansen as Senior Vice President Distribution, APAC.

They will spearhead Mediawan’s strategic expansion across the Americas and APAC respectively with a focus on premium content partnerships, format sales, and regional co-productions.

Located in New York, Dan Selig most recently served as Senior Vice President, Content Sales at Boat Rocker, where he led sales and distribution strategy across the US and Latin America. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas at Fifth Season. Earlier, Selig spent 16 years at HBO, where he rose to Senior Vice President, International Distribution and WAS responsible for distribution of some of the industry’s highest quality and most innovative programming. He also held sales positions at Paramount Pictures and Eyemark Entertainment which was the syndication arm of CBS Television.

Located in Los Angeles, Glen Hansen served as Senior Vice President and Head of Sales, Asia-Pacific at A+E Global Media for over a decade. Operating from Los Angeles, he led the APAC sales team and drove revenue growth across the region through finished content sales (scripted and unscripted), format licensing, and co-production deals. Previously, Hansen was Senior Vice President of Sales, Acquisitions & Business Development, North America at Zodiak Rights (now Banijay Rights), and Head of International Sales at FOX LOOK (a division of Fox Networks Group), and senior sales positions at Target Entertainment Group (UK) AND Granada International (now ITV Global).
