As part of its ongoing international expansion, Brazilian media giant Globo has established a new business hub in Europe, based in Lisbon, to reinforce its relationships with partners across the EMEA region and enhance collaboration opportunities.
“We are very happy with this change,” said Rodrigo Nascimento, Head of International Business EMEA at Globo, during Mipcom. “We created this hub to be even closer to people. We have a lot to learn from them — to understand their challenges and see how we can help them in their roles.”
The new Lisbon team is already taking shape, with the recent appointment of Karen Pinho and Isadora Filpi. Pinho, who previously worked at Globo’s GNT and Gloob channels before moving to Portugal 8 years ago, continued her career in the audiovisual industry with PGS Entertainment and Zeptolab. She now returns to Globo to lead business development across Central and Eastern Europe, as well as key territories such as Germany, the UK, and Spain.
Nascimento emphasized that the move reflects Globo’s strategy of combining a diverse content portfolio with flexible business models tailored to each market. “This hub in Lisbon is an incredible opportunity for us to be even closer to our friends and partners from Africa, the Middle East, and Europe,” he said.
With this new structure, Globo aims to strengthen its international presence and deepen collaborations across key regions, reaffirming its commitment to global partnerships and local understanding.
