Felipe Rivas, Director of International Business Development at Caracol TV, spoke with ttvnews about his role and his search for new sources of revenue for the Colombian giant’s business.

One of the most renowned media groups in Latin America, Caracol TV made its way to Cannes for a new edition of Mipcom, where, while continuing to showcase its latest hits, it is also seeking to expand its business model, an initiative led by Felipe Rivas, Director of International Business Development.

“My role involves creating new sources of revenue for the company, moving beyond distribution,” the executive began in a conversation with ttvnews in Cannes.

“That has led us to create a line of business that integrates brands into series, which we distribute to platforms like Netflix. This has worked well for us,” he added.

As an example, the executive highlighted the integration of brands like Johnny Walker into the series El Rey, Vicente Fernandez, released in 2023.

“This led us to reintegrate the same brand into Nuevo Rico, Nuevo Pobre, which premiered in 2025,” he added. “That’s something I’ve developed in my role,” he concluded.
