Brazilian, Spanish and Turkish productions emerged among the standout finalists announced for the 2025 Rose d’Or Awards, reinforcing their global influence in scripted storytelling. In the Telenovela category, the jury selected titles that highlight the narrative strength and international impact of these key markets.
From Brazil, Guerreiros do Sol / Love is a Knife, produced by Estúdios Globo for Globoplay, secured a prominent place on the shortlist.
Spain also earned significant recognition with Valle Salvaje, a production from RTVE alongside Bambú Producciones, StudioCanal and CRTVE.
Turkey, one of the most consistent markets in this genre, will compete with Eshref Ruya, created by Tims&B Productions and distributed by Inter Medya for Kanal D.
The category is rounded out by productions from Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium, reflecting one of the most diverse and competitive telenovela lineups in recent years.

Adolescence to Receive the Golden Rose at the 2025 Rose d’Or Awards
The Rose d’Or Awards also announced that Netflix’s Adolescence, created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, will receive the Golden Rose, the event’s highest honour. The award recognises programmes that transcend their genre and achieve exceptional cultural or emotional impact. Previous recipients include Chernobyl (2019) and ITV’s documentary Storming the Capitol: The Inside Story (2021).
Adolescence is also a finalist in the Drama category. Writer Jack Thorne will attend the ceremony on December 1st in London, where he will be honoured alongside other leading figures from the global entertainment industry. The event will be hosted by comedian Dara Ó Briain.
