Ringel will also continue serving as Head of Content Sales and Acquisitions for Latin America.
The Walt Disney Company Latin America announced the appointment of Henri Ringel as Senior Vice President & General Manager for Central and South America, effective May 1.
In this role, he will report directly to Martín Iraola, President of The Walt Disney Company Latin America, and will continue serving as Head of Content Sales and Acquisitions for Latin America, responsible for developing strategic alliances, content commercialization, licensing management, and expanding branded content collaborations.
This appointment reflects Disney’s ongoing commitment to accelerating growth throughout the region and enabling new opportunities in Central and South America. Ringel will lead Disney’s operations in markets where the company already has a strong connection with consumers and where we see significant growth potential.
“With this new role, we are strengthening our ability to operate more closely with our consumers and clients in the region,” said Martín Iraola, President of The Walt Disney Company Latin America. “Henri’s leadership will be fundamental in driving a more committed and strategic approach in these high-potential markets.”
Ringel has over 20 years of experience at The Walt Disney Company. He has played a key role in developing and strengthening the content sales business, transforming it into a highly successful operation with broad distribution across transactional VOD platforms, pay-per-view, premium and basic cable television, as well as broadcast television. More recently, he has also been instrumental in defining the content acquisition strategy for Direct-to-Consumer.
In earlier stages of his career, Henri led advertising sales for Discovery Channel Latin America, where he established the regional infrastructure for the advertising sales business and achieved strong revenue growth. She began her television career at CBS Cable, working with flagship channels such as CBS Telenoticias and CMT Latin America, and previously worked in public relations at Fleishman-Hillard.
