The Turkish distributor arrived at LA Screenings with its catalog of Turkish dramas, led by Sins and Roses, bolstered by the announcement of its sale to Mega in Chile and its renewal for a second season.

Accustomed to having several dramas in the top 5 of the ratings in Turkey, Kanal D International was present at a new edition of LA Screenings to celebrate the success of one of its most recent premieres: the drama Sins and Roses, which arrived at the event with several new announcement.

“We are very excited about Sins and Roses, which continues to be the top-rated show on Saturdays in Turkey,” said Duda Perman, Sales Manager for Latin America at Kanal D International, in an interview with ttvnews. “As everyone knows, the competition is high, so we are happy with this success, which also helps us with international sales.”

“The big news,” the executive continued, “is that we just closed the deal in Chile with Mega, which we know will launch a major promotional campaign and choose the best time slot to premiere this powerful title.”

“It’s a real achievement for us that our content is going to the biggest networks in each territory,” she emphasized. “We previously closed deals with Panama and Honduras. And we have several other clients in advanced talks who want to explore the story further. We already have half the season available in Spanish for clients who needed more content, and they are now evaluating it to make proposals. I imagine we’ll have some news to announce by the end of this market,” she predicted.

Produced by NGM and written by Yelda Eroğlu, Sins and Roses combines a passionate romance, family intrigue, and captivating drama in a story that promises to enthrall audiences worldwide. It stars internationally acclaimed actor Murat Yıldırım (Ramo, Aziz, Rebellious) as Serhat and beloved actress Cemre Baysel (Twist of Fate, Lost in Love, Leyla) as Zeynep.

In addition to its international sales, the drama achieved the significant milestone of being renewed for a second season, something reserved only for the most successful titles on Turkish TV. “In Turkey, only the top 5 dramas continue for the following season,” she explained. “And Sins and Roses is going for the next season,” she confirmed.

Synopsis:

When Serhat was a child, life dealt him two blows: his father abandoned the family, and his fortune vanished. He rebuilt his life through sheer willpower, becoming a successful businessman dedicated to two values: family and integrity. But everything crumbled when he discovered that his wife, Berrak, was hiding a devastating secret. Before he could confront her, a tragic accident left her in a coma, taking the truth with her.

Then came Zeynep. A passionate and outspoken young woman from a working-class neighborhood, she was unlike anyone Serhat had ever met. Drawn by the mystery surrounding Berrak, Serhat and Zeynep found themselves caught between mistrust and desire, ice and fire.

While Serhat searched for the truth, Zeynep fought to keep her heart from turning to stone. This is a story of love and betrayal, of shadows and light, because some flowers bloom in the darkness, and some stories only begin after the last chapter ends.
