During the current edition of LA Screenings, Delmar Andrade, director of Record TV, spoke with ttvnews about the company’s transformation process, marked by significant investment in sports, new production strategies, and the major international relaunch of The Slave Isaura in a completely remastered version.

Alongside the ups and downs of the audiovisual industry and the technological evolution that gives rise to new viewing and production trends, Record TV Network is experiencing a period of change. A strong commitment to reinvention and growth has led to new initiatives and changes for the Brazilian giant.
“Record TV Network is going through a very positive reformulation,” began Delmar Andrade, director of Record TV, in a conversation with ttvnews from the latest edition of LA Screenings in Los Angeles.
As major verticals, the executive highlighted, on the one hand, a significant investment in sports, “the largest” they have made to date. “We have national football in Brazil, and that has given us very positive returns,” he explained.
On the other hand, there is, of course, the production area, where Seriella’s mega biblical productions join Record TV’s impressive library of titles, led this time by one of its biggest projects: the return of The Slave Isaura.

“The big move we made in 2025-2026 was the complete remastering of The Slave Isaura,” the executive emphasized. “We didn’t just improve it. We changed everything.”
Originally premiered with great success in 2004, the telenovela returned in 2025 in a completely revamped version, with 5.1 Dolby audio and image quality that jumped from SD to 4K.
“We changed the color, we changed some chapters, we changed the audio. We invested between six and eight hours per episode, and the quality of the product is much better than we expected,” Andrade explained.
“So today, what we’re looking for in the market is the return of Isaura,” he continued. “It’s a telenovela that we sold in 74 countries, and Globo sold it to over 80 others.”
While the new version of The Slave Isaura premiered in 2025, this is the first time Record has presented it to the international market, and they are already seeing a very positive reception from the industry.

“We are surprised,” the executive revealed. “The vast majority of clients who have already aired Isaura with us in Latin America and Central America are extremely excited to re-air it. Furthermore, Isaura is the only telenovela on Record TV that has four different endings. Therefore, many of those who already aired it with the original ending can now watch it with a different ending, which will create a new theme, a new visual and emotional impact for viewers.”
The Slave Isaura could be the first of several telenovelas to return to the screen in a remastered version, as Record TV is already working on its next project of this kind.
“We are already thinking about doing it with a new telenovela, as well as a classic telenovela called Esas mujeres. We are also going to remaster it so that we have the only two classic telenovelas on Record TV ready to go,” the executive anticipated.
“This is an extremely interesting time of reformulation for us; of trying new things like the return to soccer and presenting the new version of Isaura,” he concluded.
