TV Azteca Internacional announced the strengthening of its strategy with a Production Services division for the US Hispanic market. This production hub focuses on offering 360° solutions, encompassing the creation, operation, optimization, and marketing of audiovisual content and channels for broadcast television, digital platforms, and streaming services.

Under an end-to-end model, the division integrates specialized talent, technical equipment, and advanced technological infrastructure to develop audiovisual projects efficiently, scalably, and adaptable to market needs. Its approach includes everything from strategic diagnosis and defining the operating model to technical integration, seamless transition, and continuous operation.

This strategy will also allow us to offer optimization and modernization services for existing channels by incorporating Latin American talent, highly efficient production models, and centralized, real-time supervision and management processes. This will guarantee high availability, agile coverage from any location, and content optimized for each platform, expanding our reach in the global market.

The hub also incorporates playout capabilities, multichannel delivery, continuous monitoring, and operational scalability, enabling the constant evolution of audiovisual projects in an increasingly dynamic global environment.

This model is being developed in partnership with and under the leadership and experience of TV Azteca’s Director of Production, Julián Antuñano. His track record in the production, direction, and operation of international audiovisual projects will be key to consolidating the company’s global vision and accelerating the evolution of our production capabilities. This represents a key step in consolidating TV Azteca Internacional’s vision and strategy, integrating creative expertise, operational leadership, and a deep understanding of large-scale production processes.

With Julián Antuñano as a key figure in this undertaking, and with TV Azteca Internacional’s strategic vision and commercial strength to expand its production capacity, strengthen international alliances, and develop content with global reach, TV Azteca reaffirms its commitment to innovation, creative excellence, and the development of production solutions capable of competing in the most dynamic audiovisual markets internationally.

In the following interview with ttvnews, Antuñano discusses the challenge of leading this new venture and the potential of the new hub for the international market.

How are you approaching this new role as director of TV Azteca’s new Production Services division?

I’m very excited about this new TV Azteca International Production Services division. It’s a huge responsibility, and I’m up to the task and very happy to take on the position. My background is more in on-set production, directing, and working in the field. Fortunately, that gave me a great deal of experience to understand the entire television business and the international aspect of how new production services are developing.

Having a solid understanding of all the stages -from scriptwriting and production to directing, art direction, and post-production- gives us a broad knowledge base to support this new unit of Azteca International Production Services.

What is the main objective you have set for yourselves with this initiative?

The idea is always to transform and optimize audiovisual production. That’s the core of this area. And we’re always carefully analyzing the production perspective, focusing much more on the Latino market in the United States, so that we, from Mexico, with all the know-how, infrastructure, and knowledge of TV Azteca, can provide a much more optimal and higher-quality service.

What kind of productions will you be carrying out from the hub?

They can be original productions, but the idea is to reach the international market. International productions that can be produced in Mexico and that we can somehow remotely broadcast or deliver.

What services and tools will be available from the new division?

The production hub is what’s called end-to-end, meaning 360°. From the smallest details, from set design and camera setup, to the production level, mastering, everything. We can do it all. Talent acquisition, hiring of technical personnel, etc.

This production hub centralizes operations. At this critical moment for the entire industry, we offer infrastructure, know-how, and tools to make production more efficient.

What are the benefits of producing content from Mexico for the international market?

We feel that Mexico City is a hub for the arts scene. It serves as a springboard for us to reach not only the United States, but also Europe, Asia, and many other places, producing content for the Latin American market.

Do you have any productions in the pipeline that you can share?

We already have projects underway, which we will be announcing later. The important thing is that this product is already well-proven; it has been running for several years, and now we want to internationalize it, globalize it, take it to other countries so that, with the success we’ve had internally and nationally, we can apply it abroad.
