Developed by Netflix in partnership with iHeartMedia, the program will begin streaming live on Netflix starting June 1 and will air every weekday.
Netflix continues to expand its push into live content and has announced the launch of its first daily live show: The Breakfast Club, the popular radio program syndicated by iHeartMedia and hosted by Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious.
The show will stream live on Netflix beginning June 1, airing every weekday for nearly three hours simultaneously with its radio broadcast across more than 100 stations in the United States.
The initiative further deepens the partnership between Netflix and iHeartMedia, which had previously collaborated on video podcast content. According to both companies, the Netflix version will feature exclusive material, behind-the-scenes footage, and extended segments during commercial breaks from the radio broadcast.
With this move, Netflix aims to strengthen its live programming strategy and expand its slate of unscripted and current affairs formats, following recent ventures into sports, comedy specials, and video podcasts.
The Breakfast Club is considered one of the most influential radio shows in US pop culture and entertainment, known for its interviews with figures from music, politics, and entertainment. Past guests have included Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Kendrick Lamar, and Alicia Keys.
