With the announcement of new titles and its participation in discussions about the future of the audiovisual industry, Netflix is reinforcing its ongoing investment in stories produced in Brazil.

Netflix arrives at Rio2C 2026 with an agenda dedicated to the future of audiovisual narratives and the celebration of local stories.

Shortly before the start of the largest creativity event in Latin America, the company is presenting five new Brazilian productions in various genres and formats:

MED, Netflix’s first Brazilian medical series, starring Clara Moneke and produced by Paranoid.

Os Crentes, a comedy special created by Christian writers and produced by Floresta.

A documentary about Brazilian navigator Tamara Klink on her solo and inspiring journey across the Arctic – Netflix’s first production in collaboration with Maria Farinha Filmes.

A new melodrama directed by renowned filmmaker Rogério Gomes (also known as Papinha) and produced by A Fábrica.

A comedy about open marriage, created by Alexandre Machado and directed by José Alvarenga Jr., produced by Manas Filmes.

The announcement of these titles highlights the diversity of formats, genres, and authentic narratives on Netflix in Brazil, and they join other local projects in various stages of development and production, such as Habeas Corpus, Netflix’s first Brazilian legal drama, produced by Café Royal; A Estranha na Cama, developed by Casa Montres and produced by A Fábrica – an adaptation of Raphael Montes’s upcoming novel of the same name; and the reality show Mom Knows Best? (Sua Mãe Te Conhece?), an original and 100% Brazilian format produced by BoxFish and Farra.

“Rio2C is an important space for dialogue with the industry and also a great opportunity to showcase the strength and diversity of the stories we are developing in Brazil,” says Elisabetta Zenatti, Vice President of Content at Netflix Brazil. “These new projects reflect precisely that: different genres, perspectives, and creators, all with great potential to connect with audiences both in Brazil and internationally.”
