The Spanish group made its way to a new edition of NEM Dubrovnik with a catalog of new releases across all genres, seeking partners and screens in the international market.

Produced by Luis Cabrera, from Croatia

Secuoya Studios arrived at NEM Dubrovnik 2026 with an increasingly consolidated international strategy and a catalog designed to connect with audiences in multiple territories.

In recent years, the Spanish company has strengthened its commitment to globally appealing content, combining major productions, internationally recognized talent, and genres with a long track record in international markets.

In an interview with ttvnews, Ana Sánchez Pérez, International Sales Executive at Secuoya Studios, discusses the importance of the Central and Eastern European market within the company’s expansion plans, the collaboration opportunities it identifies in the region, and the expectations for a lineup headlined by titles such as Butterfly Labyrinth, Caldas, Terra Alta, and Homenaje, among others.

How relevant is the Central and Eastern European market to the company’s international strategy today? What potential do you see in it, and what characteristics differentiate the CEE region from the other regions where the company operates?

The CEE market is essential to our company’s internationalization strategy. We have many stories that resonate perfectly with audiences in Central and Eastern Europe, such as thrillers, procedurals, feature-length dramas, and especially titles starring internationally renowned stars in the region.

Are you identifying co-production or collaboration opportunities with CEE companies? What kind of partners or projects are you interested in developing in the region?

We are open to exploring local stories with international potential. In recent years, Secuoya has become a benchmark for content creation in Europe and worldwide.

Which titles and projects are you presenting at NEM Dubrovnik?

This year we’re presenting key titles like Butterfly Labyrinth, Can Yaman’s first major project in Spain. It’s an 8-episode romance-thriller starring one of the most internationally renowned actors.

Our other big premiere this year is Caldas, a police procedural that’s a Disney+ original.

We’re also presenting Terra Alta, a noir-thriller that has generated significant international interest. La Encrucijada, an adaptation of the hit Turkish telenovela Cesur ve Guzel. Homenaje, a psychological-thriller starring one of the most recognized Spanish actresses in Hollywood: Elsa Pataky. And Los 39, a survival-thriller starring Hugo Silva and Akima Maldonado (One Hundred Years of Solitude).

As for feature films, we’re bringing you Bajo un fuego, starring William Levy, the sequel to the successful Bajo un volcán. And the comedies Ni contigo ni sin mí, and Solos; and the thriller Padres.

What are your expectations for these projects in the international market?

The titles we’ve produced from 2023 onward reflect the company’s commitment to the internationalization of our content. That’s why we’re focusing on stories that resonate with a global audience and feature nationally and internationally recognized figures. Our goal with this catalog is to reach as many territories as possible.
