Calinos Entertainment is proud to announce the acquisition of 12 Spanish-language scripted titles from TIS Productions, adding a diverse selection of series to its growing international catalog.
Leading the new slate are Lynch, The Envoys (Los Enviados), Pedal to Metal (Dale Gas), Dani Who?, Erre (R) and Entangled (El Nudo), spanning drama, thriller, action, science fiction and dark comedy.
Lynch follows funeral home owner Jerónimo Lynch, who agrees to fake his own death when faced with arrest. The plan soon turns into an unusual business, helping people in serious trouble stage their deaths, take on new identities and leave their old lives behind.
Created by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Juan José Campanella, The Envoys stars Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Luis Gerardo Méndez as two Vatican priests sent to investigate alleged miracles. The series won Gold for Best Drama and Silver for Best Screenplay at the 2022 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.
Dark comedy Erre centers on Franco, a man trapped in the same routine until he is told he has only one month left to live. With nothing left to lose, he decides to stop following the rules and finally live life on his own terms.
The slate also features Pedal to Metal, an action drama set in the world of illegal street racing; Dani Who?, a sci-fi mystery in which the disappearance of a girl brings together a group of classmates who discover they share extraordinary abilities, and Entangled, a drama told across two timelines, in which a serious car accident reveals a forbidden relationship connecting two married couples.
“We are very happy to further expand Calinos’ international catalog with these titles from TIS Productions,” said Aslı Serim, Head of Content at Calinos Entertainment. “This diverse slate brings together internationally recognized productions and compelling stories that we believe have strong potential across a wide range of markets.”
The wider acquisition also includes The Followers (As Seguidoras), Campaign Promises (Promesas de Campaña), The Price of Silence (El Precio del Silencio), Family for Sale (Familia en Venta), I Have to Die Every Night (Tengo Que Morir Todas las Noches), and Marcelo, Marmelo, Martelo,
Several titles within the package are also available as formats, while availability across the slate varies by territory.
