MIP London will not take place in 2027. Following its initial two-year launch, RX will instead introduce this new two-day conference taking place 16–17 March 2027 alongside The London Book Fair.

RX France today announces MIP Talks, a new two-day conference taking place 16–17 March 2027 alongside The London Book Fair (LBF), one of RX’s (Reed Exhibitions) flagship events , bringing together leading voices from across the increasingly connected worlds of entertainment, media and culture to explore what is changing, what is breaking through and where new opportunities are emerging.

MIP Talks will take place at London ExCel and represents a new expression of MIP in London, looking beyond traditional television and content to the wider cultural, creative, technological and commercial shifts reshaping global entertainment.

The inaugural MIP Talks will be built around the editorial theme “From IP to Fandom – and Fandom to Global Business.” MIP Talks will explore an entertainment world where traditional boundaries are disappearing, audiences move seamlessly across platforms and experiences, and IP can come from anywhere. It will look at what breaks through, how fandom is built and how ideas and audiences translate into global business.

Rather than looking at different sectors in isolation, MIP Talks will examine the ideas, cultural shifts and business models shaping entertainment as a whole, bringing together global leaders alongside creators, entrepreneurs, authors, athletes, brands, platforms and emerging businesses.

Programming will be highly curated and editorially led, spanning headline conversations, unexpected pairings, global trends and data, cultural insight and case studies from across the international entertainment business.

Lucy Smith Director of the Entertainment Division, RX France, said: “The boundaries of entertainment have all but disappeared. IP can come from anywhere, audiences don’t think in sectors and an idea can travel further and faster than ever before. MIP has always been about understanding where the entertainment business is going next. MIP Talks at The London Book Fair takes that curiosity further bringing together the people shaping what breaks through, how fandom is built and where new global businesses are emerging.”

Emma Lowe, Director of The London Book Fair, added: “The London Book Fair is delighted to be working in partnership with the brilliant team at MIP Talks to meld together our fantastic worlds where stories are created, curated and sent out to find ever more fans, more audiences and more homes.”

MIP London will not take place in 2027. Following its initial two-year launch, RX will instead introduce this new MIP format alongside The London Book Fair, reflecting the continued evolution of the global entertainment business and the changing ways in which content and IP are created, discovered, developed and scaled.

London provides a natural home for that conversation. One of the world’s great creative capitals, the city sits at the intersection of television and film, publishing, music, creators, gaming, advertising, technology, brands and live entertainment with UK talent and ideas continuing to travel far beyond its borders. MIP Talks at The London Book Fair will draw on that creative energy and global outlook, bringing international perspectives into a city with an extraordinary influence on entertainment and culture around the world.

Launching MIP Talks alongside its sister show; The London Book Fair creates a further connection between two global creative communities. At a time when IP can emerge from almost anywhere and move between books, screens, audio, games, creators and live experiences, the two events create an opportunity to explore how ideas travel, find audiences and grow across formats, platforms and markets.

The London Book Fair (LBF) is the world’s largest spring book trade and publishing event and will take place at ExCel London from 16 – 18 March 2027.
