TwelveP Animation attended Mipcom 2026 with new productions for preschoolers, children and teenagers, as the company expands its activities beyond international distribution into production and coproduction.

“We’re TwelveP Animation, a distribution company based in Abu Dhabi. Since this year, we’ve also been acting as producers on a few projects. We mostly distribute children’s content, including preschool and kids’ animated series, but we also have teen series and family feature films. We’re also looking for live-action family films,” Margarita Shvets, Head of Marketing and YouTube at TwelveP Animation, told ttv at Mipcom.

“We have experience working in both Western and Eastern markets. We’re particularly strong in the MENA region, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, China and Southeast Asia. We have a lot of partners in those markets and know how to develop content for those regions,” she said.

The company currently has a catalogue of more than 400 hours of content and an international distribution network spanning over 120 countries.

“We distribute high-quality, safe children’s content. This year, we brought three new IPs to Mipcom,” Shvets said.

Three New Titles for Different Age Groups

Among TwelveP’s new projects is Tin, a 26 x 22-minute animated cyberpunk science-fiction adventure targeting teenage audiences. Coproduced by Dikidigital and TwelveP Animation, with Kinopoisk as a broadcast partner, the series is set in a dystopian world where everyone strives to become an ideal version of themselves.

“It’s about a brave girl who lives in a dystopian world where everybody is expected to be perfect. But she’s not perfect. She’s just an ordinary girl, and somehow she’s the one who can save the world,” Shvets explained.

The company’s second new title is Goal!, a 52 x 7-minute animated sports comedy combining football, hockey and other sports with fast-paced commentary.

“We also have a series for kids about sports, especially football and hockey. It’s very dynamic, and there’s a narrator who acts like a commentator during a match,” she said.

For preschool audiences, TwelveP is showcasing Baby Fluffs, a 3D animated series following adorable baby animals as they explore their surroundings and play together.

“They’re very fluffy, adorable characters, different kinds of animals, including a kitten, a lion and a little wolf. They live in a real room where they play with each other and teach little kids games like peekaboo and hide-and-seek,” Shvets said. “Baby Fluffs was our first digital project. The production company created its first video almost two years ago, specifically for digital channels, and uploaded it to YouTube just to test the concept. It gained 60 million views, and that’s why the production company decided to develop the entire series.”

YouTube and Localization Drive Growth

Alongside traditional television distribution, TwelveP Animation has developed a digital presence through its own channels and partnerships with other YouTube operators.

“Our content has generated over three billion YouTube views over the past three years. That’s why we’re developing our own YouTube channels in three languages: Arabic, neutral Spanish and American English,” Shvets said. “We have 12 channels of our own. This year, we also recently launched a channel for festival animation and another for teen animation. And we work with more than 100 partner channels on YouTube. That’s where those numbers come from.”

Among the company’s digital partners is El Reino Infantil, through which TwelveP distributes content to Spanish-speaking audiences. “We have a lot of channels in Spanish. For example, El Reino Infantil is one of our partners, and we also distribute our content through their channels,” she said.

“We’re interested in developing our business across North and South America. As Head of Marketing and YouTube, I’m particularly interested in digital partnerships. That’s why we’re also working with Epic Story World in Canada,” Shvets explained.

TwelveP’s preschool offering also includes Rockoons, a musical animated series featuring little raccoons that forms part of the company’s wider distribution and digital strategy.

In the Middle East, one of TwelveP’s most successful properties is Orange Moo-Cow, the preschool animated series following a family of cows and their animal friends.

“Orange Moo-Cow is our top-performing IP in the MENA region. It has extensive distribution across television channels and VOD platforms. One of our partners is Spacetoon, and we also do a lot of activations together,” Shvets said.

The company has worked with Spacetoon on special episodes and campaigns tailored to celebrations and major events in Arab markets.

“We’ve coproduced special episodes for Arabic YouTube channels and for the MENA region. They’re not about Halloween or Christmas, but specifically for the Arab world, featuring celebrations such as Eid al-Adha, Ramadan and Saudi National Day,” she explained.

“One of the Eid al-Adha episodes gained 24 million views on YouTube. The show is about a family of cows, a father, a mother and their two children, although there are many other animals as well,” she said.

The partnership also included football-related activations featuring the characters wearing different national team jerseys.

“For a FIFA-related campaign, we created jerseys for different Arab national teams and dressed the cow family in each country’s colors. Whenever one of those teams played, Spacetoon would run a social media activation featuring the characters in the corresponding jerseys. I really loved how it looked,” Shvets recalled.
