The event will take place on March 17–18, 2027, at the Buenos Aires Convention Center, as Buenos Aires prepares to serve as World Sports Capital 2027, with the Government of the City of Buenos Aires as Host City, ACES Europe as Institutional Partner, and Agencia Quiroga and QSport as co-organisers.

Sports Summit officially announces Buenos Aires 2027, a new edition of the international platform connecting sport, business, innovation, investment, technology and networking, established as one of the leading meeting points for the sports industry across Europe and the Americas.

The next edition will take place on March 17–18, 2027, at the Buenos Aires Convention Center, marking another milestone in Sports Summit’s international expansion and strengthening connections among key stakeholders across the Latin American sports ecosystem.

The announcement follows the success of Sports Summit Madrid 2026, which established Madrid as a leading global meeting point for the sports industry, bringing together 19,800 attendees, more than 300 speakers and 110 exhibiting companies. The event recorded growth of over 60% in its exhibition area and a 30% increase in international company participation.

Buenos Aires was selected in recognition of the growth of Argentina’s sports ecosystem, the city’s international standing and its emergence as one of Latin America’s most promising markets for sports business development. In this context, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires will support the event as Host City in the year Buenos Aires was named World Sports Capital 2027 by ACES Europe, becoming the first city outside Europe to receive this distinction.

“Being named World Sports Capital 2027 is much more than recognition for Buenos Aires. It is an opportunity to continue strengthening sport as a public policy that cuts across different areas of the City. Sport drives economic development, boosts tourism, promotes inclusion and has something extraordinary: the ability to bring people, institutions, and the public and private sectors together around common goals. At the Sports Secretariat, we work with this vision, creating the conditions for Buenos Aires to continue growing as a host city for major events and as a city where sport plays a leading role in its development. The arrival of Sports Summit is a reflection of that journey,” said Fabián Turnes, Secretary of Sports of the City of Buenos Aires.

This designation strengthens Buenos Aires’ international positioning as a host city for major sporting events and creates a strategic setting for bringing together key stakeholders from across the region’s sports industry.

“Sports Summit is coming to Buenos Aires at an extraordinary moment for the city and for the sports industry across the region. The designation as World Sports Capital 2027 represents a unique opportunity to bring together leading figures from across the ecosystem and position Buenos Aires as one of the world’s major sports hubs. Our goal is to build much more than an event: we want to establish a platform that drives business, innovation, knowledge and strategic connections between Latin America and Europe, creating an impact that extends beyond the two days of the event,” said Sebastian Lateulade, Executive Chairman and Founder of Sports Summit Global.

The local organisation of Sports Summit Buenos Aires 2027 will be led by Agencia Quiroga, which will act as co-organiser and oversee strategic, commercial and institutional development in Argentina, strengthening engagement with companies, institutions, brands and sports organisations across Argentina and the wider region.

“It will be a major public-private gathering, on a par with the leading sporting events held in the world’s major cities. We understand the dynamics of sports marketing and the significant role brands play in sport, as well as the value sport can create for brands. As a communications agency, we aim to strengthen and maximise the value of these relationships by building a space that connects key stakeholders across the sports ecosystem. I hope Sports Summit Buenos Aires 2027 will help reinforce these ties and position our city as a leading hub for the sports industry in the region,” said Gustavo Quiroga, CEO of Agencia Quiroga.

Sports Summit Buenos Aires 2027 will bring together companies, sports organisations, leagues, clubs, federations, public institutions, brands, startups, investors and industry leaders to examine the trends reshaping the business of sport, generate new business opportunities and strengthen connections across sport, innovation, technology and investment.

Over the coming months, Sports Summit will announce additional speakers, partners, exhibitors, content and experiences for the Buenos Aires 2027 edition through its official channels and at sportssummit.com.ar.
