The French animation studio has reached 68.9 billion lifetime views across its network of more than 70 channels, driven by franchises such as Zig & Sharko, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Where’s Chicky?.

Xilam Animation has surpassed 100 million subscribers across its global YouTube network, doubling its audience since January 2022. The milestone reinforces the French studio’s digital strategy, with its network of more than 70 channels having generated 68.9 billion lifetime views.

So far in 2026, Xilam’s content has averaged 20 million daily views, driven primarily by its non-verbal comedy franchises Zig & Sharko, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Where’s Chicky?, which continue to reach international audiences through a format accessible across markets and languages.

Three of the company’s channels have surpassed 10 million subscribers and received YouTube’s Diamond Play Button: the main Oggy and the Cockroaches channel, its Hindi-language channel and the main Zig & Sharko channel. Xilam’s network also holds 20 Gold Play Buttons, awarded to channels with more than one million subscribers, and 39 Silver Play Buttons, recognising those that have reached 100,000 subscribers.

“Reaching 100 million YouTube subscribers is an incredible milestone for our business and reflects both the enduring appeal of our characters and our sustained investment in creative, forward-thinking digital strategies,” said Safaa Benazzouz, Deputy CEO of Distribution & Marketing at Xilam Animation.

The executive also highlighted the international potential of the company’s non-verbal comedies and YouTube’s role in connecting its franchises with new generations of viewers while maintaining engagement with established audiences.

Xilam’s digital strategy also extends to Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. Across YouTube and its social media platforms, the company has a combined following of 136 million. In 2025, its content generated 4.4 billion views across Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.

This digital growth is accompanied by the continued expansion of its content portfolio. Upcoming projects include Chickies (78 x 7′), a CG-animated spin-off of Where’s Chicky?, which has been pre-sold to France Télévisions and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2027.

France Télévisions has also commissioned a ninth season of Oggy and the Cockroaches, scheduled for delivery between Q3 2027 and Q2 2028, ahead of the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Meanwhile, longtime partner Gulli has commissioned the fifth and sixth seasons of Zig & Sharko, due in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
