The Spanish group will bring Los hombres de Paco and Física o química, which join the “nostalgic fever” that began with El internado.

This week, the Spanish press revealed Atresmedia is working on two projects to revive two classic series: Los hombres de Paco and Física o química.

On the one hand, Bluper exclusively revealed that Atresmedia and Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio) are preparing the rebirth of Los hombres de Paco, a Spanish series released in 2005 and that with nine seasons and 117 episodes was one of the most successful series in Spain at the time.

In the new version, the episodes would be reduced to 50 minutes (just like all the series on the Atresmedia label) and several of the faces of the original series would return.

According to Bluper, Paco Tous himself would return to be the protagonist, while other members of the original cast could join him.

Los hombres de Paco was created by Daniel Écija and Álex Piña.

Filming would begin in the summer, as long as the Covid-19 pandemic allows it.

In addition, Vertele revealed a few hours later that Atresmedia also plans to revive the teen series Física o química.

It would be a project by Atresmedia Studios for ATRESPlayer Premium and would be in a miniseries format with members of the original cast.

The series was a great talent pool back in its day, with multiple young interpreters now consolidated in Spain such as Andrea Duro, Javier Calvo, Úrsula Corberó, Angy Fernández, Gonzalo Ramos, Maxi Iglesias, Adam Jezierski, Leonor Martín or Karim El-Kerem .

The idea, Vertele added, is to tell the stories of many of its characters today.

Both projects join El internado: Las Cumbres, produced by Atresmedia Studios and Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio) for Amazon, a revival of the successful series El internado, which aired over a decade ago.
