The Telemundo Global Studios series is making its debut this Monday, July 15 on Canal 9 in Mexico.

Betty in NY, the new adaptation of the successful Colombian series, Ugly Betty, is adding a new international screen this July 15 with its arrival in Mexico through the Televisa network, Canal 9.

It will premiere at 10:30pm and join the US (Telemundo) and Uruguay (Canal 12), among those who’ve acquired the adaptation.

Produced by Telemundo Global Studios, the series is distributed by Telemundo Internacional and NBCUniversal International Distribution.

It was the first production filmed at the Telemundo Center, the world headquarters for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, inaugurated in April 2018 in Miami.

It stars Elyfer Torres as Betty with Erick Elías, Sabrina Seara, César Bono, Saúl Lizaso, Héctor Suárez Gomís, Alma Delfina, Jeimy Osorio, Mauricio Garza, Sheyla Tadeo, Isabel Moreno, Amaranta Ruiz, Valeria Vera, Daniela Tapia, Mauricio Henao, Gloria Peralta, Pepe Suárez and Verónica Schneider, among others.

It was directed by Gustavo Loza, Fez Noriega and Luis Manzo. Miguel Varoni is the executive producer, Ricardo Coeto creative advisor and the scripts were adapted by Sandra Velasco, Valentina Parraga and Alejandro Vergara.

Betty in NY reintroduces the classic Ugly Betty story to a new generation of viewers with a version that will give life to contemporary themes and modern characters that reflect the reality of living in one of the most diverse cities in the world, New York .
