The international distributor announced deals for its series with broadcasters in Latin America such as HBO and AMC, and Filmin in Spain, as well as other international partners in the US and Europe.

Ahead of Mipcom, Beta Film has managed to close a number of international deals for European drama series.

MHz Networks acquired the high-end thriller Agent Hamilton, which celebrated its red carpet world premiere last year at Mipcom in Cannes. The platform is also the new home of Canneseries-awarded Bauhaus – A New Era, by multi-honored director Lars Kraume (The Verdict, The People vs Fritz Bauer), as well as former Canneseries and Geneva International Filmfestival contender The Typist by Nina Grosse.

Agent Hamilton was also acquired by AMC for Latin America and RTP Portugal.

The show stars Jakob Oftebro (Below the Surface, Kon-Tiki), Katia Winter (CBS’ Blood and Treasure, Dexter) and “Wallander” lead Krister Henriksson and is based on the best-selling “Hamilton” novels by Jan Guillou. Producer is Dramacorp’s Patrick Nebout (Midnight Sun), German broadcaster is the ZDF.

Further deals for Bauhaus – A New Era (zero one film in co-production with ZDF/ARTE, Constantin Television, Nadcon Film) included Denmark (DR), Finland (YLE), HBO Latin America, Russia/Comis (Red Media), Benelux (Lumiere), Spain (Filmin) among others.

The limited series, set 1919 right after WWI, tells the story of Doerte Helm falling in love with her teacher, the famous architect Walter Gropius, who fights together with her for the newly-founded Bauhaus school.

Beta’s The Typist went also to AMC South America, SBS Australia, Russia’s IVI, the Dutch NPO and Canal+ in Poland among others. The crime series (Moovie/ZDF) with German star Iris Berben revolves around a secretary in the homicide squad who loses faith in justice and takes things in her own hands.
