Furia, the comedy drama from HBO Spain, was another major highlight of the night, receiving the Performance of the Year Award for its ensemble cast.

The 64th edition of the Rose d’Or Awards crowned Adolescence as the year’s biggest winner, taking home the prizes for Drama, Emerging Talent and the prestigious Golden Rose. The Netflix series also celebrated Owen Cooper’s recognition as Emerging Talent of the Year for his standout performance.

The jury described the production as “an extraordinary, sector-changing achievement” and “the show of the year,” highlighting its innovative narrative approach to the challenges of adolescence and the impact of the digital environment. Jack Thorne, co-creator of the series, urged greater attention to the wellbeing of young people online as he accepted the award in London.

The ceremony, held at Kings Place and hosted by Dara Ó Briain, gathered international industry representatives to celebrate 13 categories and four special awards.

British veteran actress Anne Reid was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for a career spanning more than six decades, marked by iconic roles that helped shape the landscape of UK television.

The United States won the Comedy Drama or Sitcom category with Apple TV’s The Studio; Japan triumphed in Comedy Entertainment with Ants; Norway took Competition–Reality with The Box; and Belgium earned the Arts award with Soundtrack to a Coup d’État.

Other winners included Tiddler (BBC) in Children & Youth; A League of Their Own (Sky) in Studio Entertainment; and The Jury: Murder Trial (Channel 4) in Factual Entertainment & Reality. In audio, The Ballad of Scout and the Alcohol Tag was recognized for its empathetic storytelling.

Jean Philip De Tender of the European Broadcasting Union highlighted the awards’ commitment to diverse and meaningful storytelling, while Rose d’Or chair Mark Rowland praised the exceptional quality of more than 600 submissions from 30 countries.
