The Chief Marketing Officer spoke to ttvnews at Mipcom, where the company is showcasing the power of their brand through successful shows and original productions, and the impressive growth of their digital offer.

True to their mission to keep the world laughing, Just For Laughs made its way to Mipcom in Cannes with a clear goal: to bring back their brand and take it to a new level.

“We are here at Mipcom to bring back Just For Laughs”, summarized Alex Avon, Chief Marketing Officer at Just For Laughs Distribution, in conversation with ttvnews at the event.

The group has had “a tremendous year” so far, having expanded their FAST/AVOD ecosystem on over 30 platforms and reaching an impressive 100 billion views through their digital content.

“On the digital side, we are growing with the FAST channel, we have AVOD, social media with 84 million subs around the globe, and we just reached 100 billion views all across our platforms. Digital is really important for us”, he explained.

“We also rebranded our scripted show LOL to Just for Laughs LOL,” he added. “We want to produce more unscripted content and use this brand, to make it grow bigger than ever.”

And the group is only set to grow even further, with brand new seasons to offer international buyers of both Just For Laughs Gags and Just For Laughs LOL, which are now seen in over 150 countries.

On top of their world-renowned comedy content, Just For Laughs Distribution has also had great success with their dramedy About Antoine, which is now available with English dubbing for the international market.

About Antoine is a natural fit for us, because you can laugh, you can cry, and it’s a feel-good show,” he explained.

Now present at Mipcom, Just For Laughs Distribution is showcasing all of these successful formats and productions, in addition to others such as animated comedy Babyatrice, the dramedy series Larry, and the comedy fiction movie 1995.
