Secret Service will premiere this spring on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.
Independent distributor All3Media International has announced a strong round of international pre-sales for Secret Service, the espionage thriller produced by Potboiler Productions, which is set to arrive in Spain on Movistar Plus+, where the series will have its exclusive premiere.
Across the EMEA region, rights for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland were licensed to ARD Plus, with an initial launch on MagentaTV in the German market ahead of its availability on the platform.
The series has also been sold across Scandinavia to NRK (Norway), DR (Denmark), YLE (Finland), RUV (Iceland) and SVT (Sweden), as well as to AntenaPLAY in Romania and Cosmote in Greece.
Outside Europe, Stan has acquired the rights for Australia, while Sky New Zealand will bring the series to New Zealand, where it will also air on Three and ThreeNow. In Asia and India, Secret Service has been licensed through a pan-regional deal for BBC First and BBC Player.
Cinematic in tone and contemporary in scope, the series follows Kate Henderson, a senior MI6 officer who leads an undercover investigation after uncovering evidence that a prominent British politician may be operating as a Russian agent. In a landscape shaped by mistrust, geopolitical tensions, and personal dilemmas, she must risk her career to uncover the truth.
Adapted from the novel by ITV News journalist Tom Bradby, the series is directed by Oscar-winning James Marsh and features a cast including Rafe Spall, Alex Kingston, Mark Stanley, Roger Allam, Amaka Okafor, Aoife Hinds, Avi Nash, Alma Prelec, and Khalid Abdalla.
Executive producers are Gail Egan and Andrea Calderwood, alongside Bradby and Chloe Sizer. For ITV, the series was commissioned by Polly Hill and overseen by Huw Kennair Jones, while All3Media International also serves as co-producer and global distributor.
From the company, EVP of Content Maartje Horchner highlighted the strong international interest in the project, emphasizing its combination of “top-tier talent, fast-paced storytelling, and a high-impact global proposition.”
