Amazon MGM Studios announced the appointment of Camila Misas as the new Director of Original Content for Mexico, as revealed by the Mexican media outlet Expansión. The executive will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of the company’s original series and films in the country.
Misas has extensive experience in the audiovisual industry and a close relationship with Amazon. Before assuming this new role, she was part of Woo Films, where she served as Director of Development and Production.
During a previous stint at Amazon Studios, she participated in the creation and production of various original projects for Latin America, contributing to the expansion of the platform’s local offerings in the region.
His return comes at a time when Amazon MGM Studios continues to strengthen its commitment to content produced in Mexico, a key market within its growth and consolidation strategy in Latin America.
