Amazon Prime Video announced it will premiere Spanish series Parot, a thriller starring Adriana Ugarte on the Parot doctrine, on May 28.

It is a co-production between RTVE and Amazon, ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) and Onza Entertainment, directed by Gustavo Ron and Rafael Montesinos and created by Pilar Nadal, Alonso Laporta, Luis Murillo Arias and Luis Murillo Moreno.

The premiere will be in Spain and with all its 10 45-minute episodes available on the same day of launch.

The plot is set in Spain in 2013. After the annulment of the Parot judicial doctrine, when dozens of prisoners were released. A few days later, those released begin to appear murdered in the same way as their victims. Isabel Mora (Adriana Ugarte) is an upright and persevering police officer who will have to take on the investigation of the murders while she faces an attempt at revenge by one of the released prisoners.

In addition to Adriana Ugarte, this fast-paced thriller will feature the participation of Iván Massagué, Blanca Portillo, Javier Albalá, Antonio Dechent, Patricia Vico, Michel Brown and Nicole Wallace.

The series is distributed internationally by ViacomCBS International Studios.
