The group is already working on the Spanish version of the format premiering in 2025 with the most adaptations worldwide. A true television revelation that is already preparing its arrival in Spain.
The Box is a groundbreaking reality competition show starring 12 celebrities locked in iconic individual boxes. They don’t know where they are going or what awaits them. In each episode of the program, when the doors open, they find themselves in the middle of a completely unexpected challenge that they must understand and solve without prior instructions, clues, or context. They all live together in a fixed base where alliances and rivalries are forged.
In just a few months, The Box has become a huge success and a true television revelation around the world: it’s the format premiering in 2025 with the most international adaptations. It premiered triumphantly last January in Norway (TV2), becoming the channel’s most-watched premiere, and has already been renewed for a second season. This success has been replicated in other countries such as Denmark (TV2), where the show also triumphed, closing its first season with a peak audience, and in Finland (Nelonen), where it has also been a success.
Other major European networks such as ITV1 (United Kingdom), TF1 (France), RTL4 (Netherlands), and TV4 (Sweden) are already preparing their respective adaptations. As is Atresmedia, which will bring the format to Spain.
The Box stars 12 celebrities. They must face all kinds of challenges without knowing any prior information about themselves. Each episode features two tests (one individual and one group) and a final duel. In each episode, the loser of the final duel leaves the competition. In the final episode, four contestants face off in the final challenges. Only three make it to the ultimate test: choosing one of three identical boxes. Only one contains the grand prize of €50,000.
