Onza Distribution is participating in its tenth edition of Mipcom, which once againtakes place at Le Palais des Festivales, from October 16 to 19.

“It’s our 10th anniversary with customers here at Mipcom,” said Béatrice Nouh, Sales Director at Onza Distribution. “We are very happy with the evolution and the reception we have had from our clients in Cannes.”

Within the distributor’s catalog, the executive highlighted two titles, Allende, The Thousand Days and Sweet Strawberries.

“The miniseries Allende, The Thousand Days, which already premiered on TVN Chile and will premiere very soon on TVE, is a co-production between Chile and Spain,” highlighted Nouh. “It is a premium series of very good quality and very interesting, about one of the best-known people in Latin American and international politics.”

Allende, The Thousand Days premiered during September on the Riivi platform and on TVN. It narrates the three years of government (1970-1973) of Chilean President Salvador Allende, from the perspective of his young Spanish advisor, Manuel Ruiz.

“We also presented Sweet Strawberries, which is a reboot of one of the most famous series that was produced in Portugal in the last two decades,” added the executive.

Morangos com Açúcar was a hit on TVI between 2003 and 2012, with more than 2,000 episodes produced. Its reboot is a TVI and Amazon Prime Video -Spain and Portugal- co-production.

“It’s a young adult thriller that everyone will love for its fresh quality and premium filming style,” said Nouh.
