Buena Vista Original Productions, The Walt Disney Company LatAm’s original production unit, announced a new fiction project developed in alliance with Polka (Argentina), Cinefilm (Brzsil), Vista (Colombia) and BTF Media (Mexico).

Following the success of original series like Monzon and Selena’s Secret, Buena Vista Original Productions, The Walt Disney Company LatAm’s original production unit, announced its new original production: Femicidios.

The project is a fiction series based on real life events of violence against women, showcasing stories of women who suffered and can now have a voice.

The episodes will be produced and filmed in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil: each country is developing 10 of its most shocking cases.

Each episode is told from the victim’s point of view, exposing first-hand everything that happened, revealing how their society and justice system worked for or against them.

Production and filming will be developed by four major production companies in Latin America.

In Argentina, the project is developed by Polka, who is also responsible for the original idea. Vista Producciones will be working in Colombia, BTF Media in Mexico and Cinefilm in Brazil.

Buena Vista Original Productions will announce the cast “very soon”. The series is slated to premiere in Latin America in 2021.
